The Round Table Discussion “Industry and Education 4.0: Social, Legal, and Institutional Aspects of the New Research and Development Infrastructure”

On November 10, 2025, the Institute of Higher Education of the NAES of Ukraine in accordance with the program of cooperation between the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, together with the Research Institute for Legal Support of Innovative Development of the NALS of Ukraine held a “round table discussion” on the topic “Industry and Education 4.0: Social, Legal, and Institutional Aspects of the New Research and Development Infrastructure.”

The purpose of the event was to discuss strategies, approaches and recommendations for restoring the infrastructure of higher education institutions in the post-war period in accordance with the latest global and European trends in the transformation of the higher education sector in accordance with the current development of science, economy, and society as a whole.

More than thirty academic fellows and high school teachers, post-graduate students, and representatives of academic community took part in the discussion in hybrid mode, online and offline. Particularly, there were representatives of Kyiv Taras Shevcnenko National University, Academician F. G. Burchak Research Institute of Private Law and Entrepreneurship of the NALS of Ukraine, Stepan Gzhytskyi National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies of Lviv, Ukrainian State University named after Mykhaylo Dragomanov, Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, State University of Intellectual Technologies and Communications, Lviv Agrarian Chamber et al.

In the course of the event, pedagogical, philosophical, axiological and legal aspects of the transformation of universities under the conditions of “Industry 4.0” and “Education 4.0” in Ukraine and other countries have been discussed. Separate reports were made by Yurii Mielkov (Dr. Hab. in Philosophy, senior researcher, chief researcher of the Institute of Higher Education), Nataliya Vnukova (Dr. Hab. in Economics, professor, honored economist of Ukraine, leading researcher of the Research Institute of Legal Support for Innovative Development, professor of Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University), Olena Otych (Dr. Hab. in Pedagogy, professor, chief researcher of the Institute of Higher Education), Mariia Lukan (Ph.D. in Law, junior researcher of the Research Institute of Legal Support for Innovative Development), Viktoria Vorona (Ph.D. in Pedagogy, senior researcher, senior research fellow of the Institute of Higher Education), Ganna Gubina (Ph.D. in Law, leading researcher of the Research Institute of Legal Support for Innovative Development).

Based on the materials of the round table discussion, an article for the academic journal “Herald of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine” is being prepared.
